• Stipend : as prescribed under the Apprentices Act and Rules 1992 (as amended) and IOCL guidelines. No exact figure is given in the notice.

Qualification and eligibility rules

• You must have already passed the qualification by 30-09-2026. Candidates awaiting results cannot apply.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against their reserved seats) in a recognised, regular, full-time course. Correspondence, distance and part-time qualifications are not accepted.
• Only the branches named for each code count. No claim of equivalent qualification is entertained.
• If your university gives CGPA or grades, enter the equivalent percentage in the form and carry a conversion certificate to document verification.
• Lateral-entry diploma holders (Class XII Science or ITI admitted to the second year) are eligible if they meet the percentage on the aggregate of all semesters.
• Not eligible: holders of higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB or MCA, and engineering graduates or diploma holders with one year or more of job experience after qualifying.
• Not eligible: anyone who completed the qualification more than five years before 30-09-2026.
• A B.Sc candidate may apply for only one of codes 101 or 103. Applying for more than one trade leads to summary rejection.

Already done an Apprenticeship?

First-time applicants get preference. You may apply a second time only in a different trade, and those seats are filled only if not enough first-timers apply.

• Minimum one year gap since completing the earlier apprenticeship.
• If the earlier contract ended due to employer failure, no gap is needed.
• If you ended it yourself for health, financial hardship, relocation, transport, career change or language reasons, a three-month gap is needed (none for women)
• Not eligible if the contract was terminated because you failed to follow its terms.
• Selected second-timers must submit an affidavit on stamp paper in Annexure-A format.
