APSC Admit Card 2024 – 235 Posts Combined Competitive (Prelims) Exam, Download APSC Admit Card

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released an official notification regarding the OMR-based Written Test for the recruitment of 235 posts under the Combined Competitive (Prelim) Examination. As per the notification, candidates who applied online for APSC CCE (Prelims) between January 17th and February 6th, 2024, through the official APSC portal are required to take the OMR-based Written Test on March 18th, 2024. Admit cards will be issued to candidates on February 27th, 2024, and they can download them from the official portal.

How To Download APSC Admit Card 2024

To download the APSC admit card, candidates who have submitted their online applications for the APSC CEE Exam should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of APSC.
  2. Scroll down and locate the “Important Links” section.
  3. Click on the “Download APSC Admit Card” link.
  4. A new tab will open with the official web portal.
  5. On the portal, you will find a login form.
  6. Enter your Roll Number, Date of Birth, and click on Submit.
  7. Once logged in, you will see the option to download the admit card.
  8. Click on the download option to save the admit card to your device.

Stages Of the APSC Admit Card 2024

There will be a two-stage selection process for the APSC Combined Competitive Examination. Applicants must undergo these two stages of examination to secure a job under APSC CCE. A brief description of these two stages of the examination and the APSC CCE Syllabus is provided below.

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

  • Exam Name: APSC CCE Prelims, 2023
  • Date of Exam: 18th March 2024 (Monday)
  • Type of Questions: Objective Questions
  • Total Papers: 2 Papers
  • Full Marks: 400 Marks
  • Duration of Exam: 2 Hours for Each Paper
  • Negative Marking: One-fourth of the total mark assigned to one question will be deducted for a wrong answer marked by a candidate.
  • Syllabus: Candidates may refer to the Assam Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2019 for the syllabi of General Studies I & General Studies II.

2. Main Examination (Written & Interview)

  • (A) Written Examination
  • Candidates to be admitted to the written part of the Main Examination will be 11 to 12 times the number of vacancies notified for each category.
  • The selection will be strictly based on merit adhering to the norms of Vertical and Horizontal Reservation as per the prescribed law in force.
  • (B) Interview Test
  • On the basis of the result of the written part of the Main Examination, candidates will be called for an interview in a ratio of 1:3 against the number of vacancies advertised.
  • The interview test is not intended to be a test of specialized or general knowledge but to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service.
  • The interview test will not have any qualifying marks but the marks scored will be added to the marks scored in the Written Examination (Main).
  • Final Ranking: Marks obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination (Written Part and Interview) will determine their final ranking.
  • Recommendation: The Commission shall recommend exactly the same number of candidates for different posts as notified. The Commission shall not recommend a candidate for a post which he/she has not opted for.
  • Allocation of Services: Candidates shall be allotted to the various services based on their ranks in the examination and their respective preference expressed for different posts.
