Eligibility Criteria Of Combined Entrance Examination (CEE)
To be eligible for admission to any of the colleges, a candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
Residency: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must pass the Qualifying Examination individually in the same sitting without any grace marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC and 40% for ST) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The term “same sitting” means that a candidate must appear for all four subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English—together.
Age Limit: The candidate must not be above 21 years or below 17 years of age as of August 1, 2024.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as follows:

Character: The Candidate must possess a good moral character.
Fitness: The Candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
Application Fee for Assam CEE:
Candidates are required to pay an Application Fee for CEE 2024. Last year, the amount was Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only).
Payment Mode: The application fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. The fee once paid is non-refundable.
Payment status may show as successful after 1 or 2 days. If the payment status remains pending after 2 days, please contact the Helpline No. available on the website immediately.
The ASTU authority will release the Assam CEE Admit Card 2024 on the official website.
Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the University website www.astu.ac.in from May 18, 2024, up to the date of the examination. They can do so by entering their application form number/username and the password generated during the submission of the online application.

The CEE 2023 was conducted according to the latest syllabus of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
The examination will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Type and will comprise a Single Paper of 3 (three) hours duration with the following distribution:
