Announcement: Assam Direct Recruitment (ADR) 2023

The respective State Level Recruitment Commissions of the Government of Assam have issued an invitation for applications for the recruitment of 32,689 vacancies for Grade III and Grade IV positions across various government departments. These vacancies, referred to as Assam Direct Recruitment 2023 (ADRE), will be filled according to the regulations set forth by the newly established Assam Direct Recruitment Commission for Analogous Posts in Class III and Class IV Act 2021, as well as the Assam Direct Recruitment 2023 for Class III and Class IV Analogous Posts Rules 2023.

Eligibility Criteria For ADRE 2023

The eligibility criteria for each category are as follows:

Grade-IV:

Maximum Qualification: The maximum allowable educational qualification for Grade-IV posts is HSSLC or Class 12th or an equivalent examination. Candidates with qualifications higher than the maximum allowed qualification are not eligible to apply for these vacancies.

Grade III:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSSLC or Class 12th or an equivalent examination. (Certain specific posts may require candidates to have completed Class 12th from the science stream.)

Age Limit: Candidates should be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old as of January 1, 2023.

Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation for different categories is as follows:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC/MOBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
  • PwD: 10 years

Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India.

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered with one of the employment exchanges in Assam.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment 2023

The Assam Direct Recruitment Commission will conduct separate competitive examinations to select candidates for different categories of posts. The commission will prioritize the selection of candidates based on merit, considering higher Grade Pay, and taking into account reservations for SC, ST, OBC, and other categories. 

The examinations will be conducted on different dates to allow individuals with higher degrees to participate in multiple exams.

Graduate Level : Grade III

The commission will organize separate examination as per the following eligibility qualifications for the posts.

i) Bachelor’s Degree.
ii) Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Skill.
iii) Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
iv) Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
v) Bachelor’s Degree with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics.

Stage 1 (Written Exam):
