Overview ADRE
The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) for Class-IV Posts, Assam, has issued a follow-up notice to its earlier Advertisement No. SLRC-G-IV/ASSAM/Advertisement for Analogous Posts-IV/2023-24/01/14 dated 27.10.2023. ADRE Grade 4 Previous Year Question Paper 2024 is good practice for upcoming Interview. This new notice, dated 15 July 2024, lays down the detailed structure of the written examination that candidates for ADRE (Assam Direct Recruitment Examination) Grade IV posts will have to appear for.
This is not a question paper but an official notice specifying how the written exam will be structured — categories, syllabus level, subjects, number of questions, duration, medium of language and negative marking. The actual date and time of the written examination will be announced separately.

Exam Categories
The written examination for Class-IV posts will be conducted under two separate categories, depending on the educational qualification required for the post:
- Categories I- For Posts/categories of Posts requiring qualification of Read up to Class VIII
- Categories II– For Posts/categories of Posts requiring HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination, including HSLC passed candidates who additionally hold an ITI pass certificate in the trade of Wireman / Electrician / Fitter / Welder / Machinist / Electronics Mechanic from a Govt. of Assam approved institute.
ADRE Syllabus Grade 4 2024
The syllabus for both categories will be based on the following standards:

Subjects Covered in the Written Exam
Both categories of the written examination will cover the same five subjects:

- Social Science
- General Mathemathics
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning
- General Knowledge
Medium of Question Papers
Candidates will be able to attempt the written examination in question papers set in five languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Boro and Hindi.
Marking Scheme & Negative Marking
| Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There is no mention of marks being deducted for unattempted questions, only for wrong answers marked. |
