Salary Details for Assam Land Record Assistant Recruitment 2026

The scale of pay is Pay Band B-2 (Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200, along with the usual allowances admissible under the rules of the Government of Assam.

Age Criteria

  • Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 40 years, both counted as on 01.01.2026.
  • Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Government OM No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 02.09.2020.
  • Age is calculated from the date of birth shown in the Class X or Class XII admit card, pass certificate or mark sheet issued by a recognised Central or State Board or Council.

Eligibility and qualification

  • RCCC training. The candidate must have passed the Recorders Certificate Class Course from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40. The mandated examination must have been cleared by an official result declared by the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam, in both Survey and Settlement subjects, before Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13.08.2026 came into effect.
  • Computer typing. Proficiency in computers with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese or Bengali.
  • Serving employees. Candidates already in Central or State Government service must apply through proper channel and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Department at the time of document verification.
