HSLC Exam 2027 Form Fill-Up from 12 October 2026: Dates, Fees and Fee Exemption Rules

HSLC Examination 2027 Form Fill Up will begin on 12 October 2026 for eligible candidates under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-I. According to the official notification dated 3 October 2026, the last date for online form submission is 10 November 2026. Students and schools should complete the process within the prescribed dates and carefully check all details before submitting the form.

According to the notification dated 3 October 2026, the HSLC 2027 form fill-up will begin on 12 October 2026 and continue up to 10 November 2026.

Adding the heads above, a candidate without a practical subject pays Rs. 1,050 (700 + 350), and a candidate with a practical subject pays Rs. 1,200 (700 + 150 + 350). Confirm the final amount on the portal, as it is generated at the time of form fill-up.

Payment can be made through SBI Online or an SBI Challan generated from the portal. For a challan, the school can deposit it with the fees at any nearby SBI branch. The bank details of candidates must be provided at the time of form fill-up.

The Centre Fee of Rs. 350 per candidate will be released by the Board to each examination centre in due course. Centre-in-charges must provide the bank details of the Examination account of the Centre on the portal.

Fee exemption: who qualifies

As per Government of Assam Notification No. E-238074/869 dated 14/11/2025, payment of fee is exempted for candidates who meet all of these conditions

  1. The candidate studies in a Government, Provincialized or Recognized Venture school
  2. Parental annual income form all sources is 4 Lakh or below
  3. The candidate registered in Class IX in the year 2024 or 2025

  1. The guardian or parent must file an application before the Head of the Institution for the exemption.
  2. The Head of the Institution must verify the genuineness of the documents submitted by the guardians, parents or students before allowing exemption
  3. The applicant has to give a photograph of the present status of the tree planted by him or her at the time of admission in Class IX.
  4. If a candidate’s name is registered in two schools (the present school and another one), exemption is not allowed, even if the candidate belongs to a low-income category.

If exemption is granted wrongly to a candidate registered in two schools, the result of that candidate will be withheld and action will be taken against the Head of the Institution as per law.

Rules every school must follow

  • Fill up the form only in the candidate’s parent school, where the Class IX registration was done. A candidate cannot fill up the form from another institution if the registration has not yet been transferred.
  • Candidates who have not appeared in any of the Class X internal examinations, namely the Unit Tests and the Half Yearly Examination, will not be eligible to sit in HSLC 2027.
  • The User ID and Password for sebaregistration.org are the same as the Class IX Registration Portal. If lost, contact the Member Secretary, Regional Office, ASSEB (Div-I) of your district.
  • Helpline numbers are provided on the Online Examination Portal.
  • Every institution must also pay the Annual Recognition Fee of Rs. 1,000.

How the form fill-up works

  • The school logs in at sebaregistration.org with its Class IX Registration Portal User ID and Password.
  • Fill the details of each eligible candidate, including subjects and bank details.
  • Generate the payment: pay online through SBI, or generate an SBI challan and deposit it at a branch with the fees.
  • Check the online checklist and upload corrections, if any, by 19 November 2026.

Internal Assessment marks portal

The portal for entering Internal Assessment (IA) marks of HSLC 2027 candidates opens from 14 December 2026. All schools must enter the IA marks of their candidates. The link will be notified in due course.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Waiting for the last day: the portal may be slow near 10 November, and the payment deadline of 12 November is close.
  • Delaying the SBI challan: it must be deposited by 16 November.
  • Wrong subject selection: subject correction closes on 19 November.
  • Granting exemption without verifying income documents and the tree photograph.
  • Registering a candidate who is already registered in another school
