Eligibility Criteria For JEE Main Application Form 2024
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE (Main) – 2024. Candidates who passed the class 12/equivalent exam in 2022, 2023, or are appearing in 2024 can appear, irrespective of age. However, candidates may need to fulfill the age criteria of the institute(s) they are seeking admission to.
- Educational Qualification: Only candidates who passed the Class 12/equivalent exam in 2022, 2023, or are appearing in 2024 are eligible for JEE (Main) – 2024. Candidates who passed the exam in 2021 or earlier, or who will appear in 2024 or later, are not eligible.
- State of Eligibility: The state code of eligibility is the code of the state from where the candidate passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) qualifying exam. It is not based on the candidate’s native place or residence. For example, if a candidate appears for the Class 12 exam in New Delhi but is a resident of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the state code of eligibility will be Delhi, not Uttar Pradesh.
