Eligibility Criteria For NEET Application Form 2024

The National Testing Agency has established the following eligibility criteria for appearing in NEET 2024.

Nationality: Candidates of the following nationalities are eligible to apply for NEET (UG):

  • Indian Nationals
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Persons with Indian Origin (PIO)
  • Foreign Nationals

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission or will reach that age on or before December 31 of the admission year to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course. Accordingly, the lower age limit is born on or before December 31, 2007. There is no upper age limit for applying to NEET-UG.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed (or will appear for) the Class 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam with the following subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually from a recognized board or university with minimum marks as prescribed below:

  • General Category: 50%
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 40%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Other Backward Classes (OBC): 40%
