The Assam government has officially issued the employment notification for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023, announcing the availability of 12,600 Grade III and Grade IV vacancies across multiple government departments in Assam. After the online application process concludes, a written examination will be scheduled to select candidates for these positions. The recruitment procedure involves a comprehensive written test, as well as a skill test tailored to each post category. Following these assessments, a merit list will be compiled to facilitate the appointment of successful candidates.

The detail selection process of ADRE 2023 has not been released. As per official notification, scheme of examination will be published at least one week before the conduct of written test. Hence, candidates are requested to check the last year’s selection process to get a sample idea about the exam as described below.

Class III Recruitment Syllabus Overview:

The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has not yet published the official syllabus for Assam Direct Recruitment for Class III or Grade III positions. The Assam Direct Recruitment examination syllabus for positions requiring a minimum essential qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree with a Computer certificate/diploma is detailed as follows:

Examination Mode: Offline
Question Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Number of Questions: 100 Questions
Maximum Marks: 175 Marks
Exam Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)

Number of Exams: There will be two exams on the same day, one for posts/categories that require education up to Class VIII, and another for posts/categories that require a qualification of HSLC passed or its equivalent.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected for interviews or skill tests in a 1:2 ratio. In case of candidates scoring identical marks in the written examination, they will be invited to appear in the interview or skill test, irrespective of the ratio mentioned above.

Syllabus Information for Class IV/Grade IV Recruitment:

The syllabus for the examination to fill Class-IV positions will align with the SCERT-prescribed syllabus for Class VIII Examination and Class X (HSLC Examination) for candidates in the “read up to Class VIII” and “HSLC passed or equivalent examination passed” categories, respectively.
