Education Qualification – A Candidates Minimum education Qualification is passed the Higher Secondary exam or any equivalent examination from recognized Board or Council with 50% Marks for required education qualification.

Total intake Capacity for two years D.EL.ED course session 2026-2028 is 4150.Reserved for few seats are untrained regular LP & UP teachers appoint on compassionate ground under Director Of Elementary Education ,Assam.

Application fee 600 Rs Payment Mode Through online ( Six Hundred RS for all categories to be paid online Internet Banking, UPI , Debit Card, Credit Card etc .)

Age Limit A candidate minimum age limit for Apply Not below the 18 Years or not 34 years above. 2 years relaxation for SC/ ST(P) ,ST (H) categories.

For ST/ SC categories Candidates Relaxation 5% marks of aggregate .

There will be two section of the Exam – Section 1 and Section 2 .

For every incorrect answer ,0.25 marks will be deducted.

Important Information

A) After declaration of result, district wise result with score & position , online counselling will be held where candidates are have to to mandatorily give their selection of Teacher Education of Institute where they are purposed to study . However candidates will assigned their select Teacher education of Institute (TEIs) based on their score and categories .

B) In all district , 30% of the total setts are reserved for Science stream Candidates. 70% seats remaining for Arts and other stream. District wise merit list for candidates Science , Arts or other stream prepare separately according to reservation Policy.

C) Reservation policy for also OBC/ MOBC/ SC/ ST(p)ST(H) Person with Disability (PWD) , EWS according to reservation policy.

D) The first semester classes 2 year D.EL.ED course for the session will commence on 19 August 2026.
